  • Over 700 PRO XI  personnel undergo mandatory drug test

OVER 700 personnel and civilian employees of the Police Regional Office (PRO) XI submitted themselves to mandatory drug testing on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

The initiative is part of PRO XI’s ongoing compliance with the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) directive and efforts to maintain a drug-free police force.

Major Catherine Dela Rey, spokesperson for PRO XI, clarified that personnel currently assigned to the Regional Police Holding and Accounting Section (RPHAS) and those undergoing training were not included in the latest round of drug tests.

PRO XI emphasized that personnel found positive for illegal substances will face immediate administrative sanctions after undergoing due process, highlighting the command’s strict stance against drug use within its ranks.

As of this writing, PRO 11 is still awaiting the official results of the drug tests.

Last month, PRO XI director Brigadier General Leon Victor Rosete revealed that they filed charges against 15 of their personnel after testing positive for illicit drugs in various screenings since 2024.

This year, four police officers tested positive for illegal substances—one in New Bataan, Davao de Oro, and three in Davao Oriental.
