THE CENTRALIZED Eid’l Fitr prayer for Muslim residents concluded peacefully at 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the Davao City Police Office (DCPO).
Speaking at Wednesday’s AFP-PNP press briefing held at The Royal Mandaya Hotel, Captain Hazel Tuazon, the spokesperson of DCPO, said police deployed personnel to monitor and enforce security at the prayer location along Roxas Avenue, where an estimated 4,000 Muslims gathered.
Similar peaceful gatherings were reported at Jamjom Mosque in Ecoland and Times Beach Mosque, with approximately 600 attendees at each location.
Earlier, the DCPO deployed police officers in those areas to monitor and enforce security.
