3 drug suspects arrested

AUTHORITIES arrested three suspects in joint drug buy-bust operations conducted at Ruiz Village, Barangay San Antonio, Agdao, at 7:47 p.m. on Feb. 28, and in Catalunan Grande on the morning of the same day.

Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson of Davao City Police Office (DCPO), identified them as Rolan Relatado Cauba, 31, painter, and a resident of Sulong Valley, and his cohort Marvin Cauba Egos Jr., 21, student, and a resident of New Cebu, both in Sulop, Davao del Sur.

Tuazon said Cauba was classified as a high-valued top 1 city-level target while Egos was classified as a street-level individual.

According to the report, suspects sold a sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P25,000.

During body frisking, police confiscated from the suspect’s possession another two sachets of shabu, bringing the total to 11.4 grams of shabu worth P 75,072, the report said.

Meanwhile, another city-level target was arrested by police in a buy-bust operation on Thursday early morning along Catalunan Grande.

Tuazon identified him only as alias Joma, 36, a massage therapist, and a resident of the area. He allegedly sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover policeman. Further seized from him were three sachets of shabu weighing 6.4 grams valued at P43,792, and a .38 revolver.

Tuazon said the suspect was considered a top 6 city-level target.

The arrested suspects are now in the custody of the City Drug Enforcement Unit for the filing of an appropriate case for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
