Three targets on Top 10 drugs list arrested

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) arrested the third most wanted person in a buy-bust operation at 4:20 a.m. in Sitio Mingli Biao Escuela Tugbok District on July 13.

DCPO spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon, identified the suspect as Fermin Bayang, single, cellphone technician, and a resident of the area.

She added Bayang was included in the Top 10 hgh-valued individuals list for violating sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

According to the report, the suspect sold a sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P2,500.

Further seized from him were eight sachets of shabu weighing 10.01 grams with an estimated value of P160,160.

On July 12 around 1:58 p.m., a 34-year-old cook was also arrested by elements of the Ma-a Police Station in a buy-bust at Cabaguio, Barangay Wilfredo Aquino, Agdao Proper.

Major Teresita Gaspan, Ma-a Police Station commander, identified him as Albert Comapas, a resident of Purok 5, San Antonio, Island Garden City of Samal, Davao Del Norte.

Gaspan said the suspect was seventh on the city’s drugs list.

Also confiscated from the suspect’s possession were another sachet of shabu worth P34,400, the report added.

Meanwhile, on the same day at around 11:55 p.m., another Top 9 city-level target and his companion were arrested for possessing illegal drugs and firearms at Purok 20, Barangay Sto. Niño, Tugbok District.

The suspects were Louie Tiro Petalcorin, 29, electrician, a resident of Tugbok and companion Danwel Acompañado, 28, construction worker and a resident of Purok- 1, Manuel Guianga.

Seized from them were three sachets of shabu worth P5,000 and an improvised handgun [sumpak].
