AUTHORITIES exhumed on Tuesday the remains of an alleged member of the New People’s Army in a remote village of Sitio San Agustin, Brgy New Calape, Montevista, Davao de Oro.

The Police Regional Office 11 reported that the remains belonged to Reneboy M. Abiao, of Front Committee (FC) 33. Identifying him was his mother, Rose Tumanan of Purok 4, Brgy. Lebanon, Montevista. This was also based on the identification card found in the grave bearing his name.
The exhumation was also part of the campaign of the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office-led Oplan Calape. Other members of the campaign, which was under the supervision of Police Director Leonard Luna, included the First Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company led by Major Edgardo Bernardo, Regional Public Safety Battalion Cluster 8 leb by Lt Analou Hormigas, Montevista Municipal Police Station led by Police Executive Master Sergeant Raul B Unahan and the 1001st Infantry Brigade of the Army.
