More than 2,000 trisikad drivers affected by the enhanced community quarantine became recipients of the P3,000 cash assistance from the Office of 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte.
A total of 2,235 trisikad drivers in 54 barangays have already been identified by his congressional office. The total cash assistance would amount to P6.7 million.
Rep. Duterte said they will start giving their cash assistance on Wednesday, along with food packs for the trisikad drivers.
He had also been giving rice and food assistance to various orphanages, homes for the aged, and other health care institutions in Davao City.
Among the identified beneficiaries are Living Stone Orphanage, Love for the Children, Padre Pio Home for the Children, SMAC Sisters, Child Hope Field of Dreams, Pang-amoma, Davao School for the Blind, Care for Elderly, Golden Haven, Good Shepherd, Rimeon Haven Homecare Nursing, Happy Hearts Caring Hand, Davao Serenity Spring, Country View Asstd. Living, St. Therese Senior, and many more.
The institutions received three sacks of rice each and dressed chickens.
Several barangays have also received food packs from the presidential son. Among them are Bucana 76-A, Talomo, Barangays 1A, 2A, 5A, Gravahan, 40, and Catalunan Grande.
Even the provinces in Davao Region have received donations from Rep. Duterte, courtesy of his friends in China. Two million face masks and 1,000 thermal guns were distributed in the five provinces.
The presidential son also facilitated the establishment of three epidemic and sanitizing stations in Davao City that could instantly detect persons with high temperatures. Eight more sanitizing stations are expected to arrive in Davao City along with 10 high-tech IR236 Fever Warning System equipment.
