THE city government has tightened the implementation of lockdown on about 20 establishments that registered clustered COVID-19 cases based on the assessment of district health offices.
Dr. Michelle Schlosser, Task Force Covid-19 spokesperson, said the establishments were even found violating the minimum health protocols.
“Kaning ipa lockdown mao ni ang naay cluster of cases, naay highly significant number of cases.. based on the assessment of our district health officer” said Schlosser.
She added that aside from evaluating the compliance of the establishments with the zoning containment strategy, the health offices are also assessing the risk of transmission.
The city government is also looking into the workplaces, particularly on whether they are complying with health protocols as well as their way of implementing work arrangements so that transmission of the virus can be prevented.
Those found following the guidelines will eventually be allowed to resume operations but will be advised to disinfect, while those found to have been exposed to positive cases would be requested to undergo tests.
She reiterated that the city government has made it a requirement for close contacts, up to the third generation, of positive cases must get tested, while those considered main contacts would be made to undergo a 14-day quarantine even if they test negative of the virus.
