Seventeen individuals with warrant of arrest were arrested during the Oplan: Kalinaw in the different areas of the city on Thursday.
Davao City Police Office (DCPO) director Sr. Supt. Alexander Tagum said the series of operations also resulted in the identity/background check and profiling of 1,227 residents, including 11 who have no valid identification card.
Tagum said those arrested were fugitives who have pending warrants of arrest.
Those arrested were Robert Maisog Gonzales Jr. (frustrated murder), Elden Baring Soriano (homicide), Javier Sarabelllo Calesa (rape), Marlon Cuadrero Obligado (illegal gambling), Nicanor Pedrico (unjust vexation), Daryl Ponteras Morales (illegal gambling), Jose Nixer Venus (acts of lasciviousness), Charlotte Hernais Sison (bouncing check), Rasyl Asentista Dapitahanon (estafa), Osias Traya Ando, Jr. (attempted murder), Jonnie Odales Tadioque (attempted homicide), Joshua Collaymar Abadal (child abuse), Randy Tula Tormis (frustrated murder), Hadjie Tula Tormis (frustrated murder), Roscelo Buchan Allego (acts of lasciviousness), Marlon Clores Miculob (illegal drugs) and Eric Eboc (illegal drugs).
Assisting the DCPO in the series of operations were Task Force Davao, Philippine Coast Guard, Regional Mobile Unit, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, Bureau of Fire and Protection, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Regional Intelligence Unit, 44th Special Action Company, and City Health Office.
The operations were conducted in the police areas of Sta. Ana (Purok, Bagong Buhay, Barangay Paciano Bangoy), San Pedro (Sagrada Familia Street, Barangay 19-B), Talomo (Prk. 52, Phase 1, New Matina, Barangay 76-A) Sasa (Km. 12, Landmark 1, Subd., Barangay Panacan), Buhangin (San Isidro Labrador, Barangay Indangan); Bunawan (Puroks 15 & 16-A, Tondo, Budbud, Barangay Bunawan); Paquibato (Sitio Balanban, Barangay Malabog), Toril (Purok 7, Upper Piedad, Barangay Bato), Tugbok (Sitio IKP, Small Village, Barangay Tacunan), Calinan (Purok 14, Villahermosa, Barangay Wangan), Baguio (Purok 3-A, Barangay Malagos) and Marilog (Sitio Kulapo, Barangay Magsaysay).
