10th ID showcase assets as part of Army anniversary

THE 10TH Infantry (Agila) Division successfully conducted a Static and Kinetic Display in connection with the 127th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Army held at the East Wing of Gaisano Mall, Tagum City, Davao del Norte on March 20, 2024.

With the theme Army @ 127: Matatag na Hukbong Katihan para sa Bagong Pilipinas.

The 10ID showcased an impressive array of military hardware, including the 7.62mm marksman rifle, the 5.56mm K3 light machine gun, the rocket launcher, armor assets, the 105mm Howitzer, and the KM451 ambulance.

The event also featured infantry squad capabilities by the 10th Division Training School, demonstrations from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit, K-9 Unit, and Emergency Response Company (ERC) of the 10ID. The 10ID Combo also performed during the activity, delighting the crowd with the musical talent of 10ID soldiers.

In an interview, Captain Darwin C Catapang, the admin officer of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations (CMO) of the 10ID, said, “Through events like this, we aim to not only showcase our capabilities but also to strengthen the bond between our soldiers and the people we serve.”

10ID commander Major General Allan D. Hambala said the Agila Division, through its Civil-Military Operations (CMO) units, is committed to community service, fostering a positive relationship between the military, civilian stakeholders, and the communities.

“The 10ID is an integral part of the community dedicated to ensuring the welfare of the Filipino people, especially here in Southeastern Mindanao,” Hambala added.
