More than 400 households get new water tanks from Apo Agua

AS PART of Apo Agua Infra’s small-scale water system solutions (Project Blue), more than 400 households from 7 Puroks in Calinan District received 5,000-liter water tanks on Sept. 6. In a statement, while the area already has a water drilling system situated at the premises of Rosalia Aglay Ayag Elementary School, the existing water tank cannot sustain the distribution of water to all the residents in the area.

“This new tank will serve as a backup and as an additional “catch basin” to ensure that there is always water available for the residents. The new water tank will maintain a consistent water supply, allowing households to receive water every day without having to wait for the main reservoir to refill,” Apo Agua said.

The tank will benefit Purok Matibay, Purok Panaghiusa, Purok Tagpuan, Purok Samaka, Purok Saluhi, Purok ARC, and Purok Mapailubon.

“The tank will help reduce water shortage, and support local efforts to manage and conserve water resources more effectively,” the statement reads.

Meanwhile, Sumpitan Integrated School received 15 rolls of pipeline to provide the students and its faculty members, including its neighboring communities of Sitio Sumpitan, Purok Balite, Purok Mauswagon, and Purok Mabuhay with more than 100 households, access to clean water.

Apo Agua said this will also help the members of the Bantay Bukid who live nearby for their daily activities.

Project Blue by Apo Agua, aims to support local communities with their water supply needs. Its mission includes providing support through small-scale water system solutions that enhance and supplement the existing Barangay Water Supply Systems in the host communities of the Davao City Bulk Water Supply Project.
