A 35-YEAR-OLD woman was arrested for allegedly selling 100 packs of Alabaster Miracle Oil and Rub with no license to operate from the Food and Drug Administration.
Marilou Bahandi Espina, a resident of Bolton Extension, Brgy. 1-A, was arrested in an operation in front of the Bureau of Internal Revenue building around 5:30 p.m. on April 28.
According to the report, Espina was apprehended for selling oil and rub (two boxes and two eco bags) to a police operative who acted as a poseur-buyer in exchange for P35,000 of marked money.
The operating team was led by Regional Special Operation Team (RSOT11) – CIDG XI, under Major Edgardo Bahan and Major Deanne Benjie Santos. They were joined by the San Pedro Police Station under Major Marvin Hugos, and FDA XI.
Operatives seized 100 packs of 60-ml Alabaster Miracle Oil bottles in different scents. According to the label, Alabaster Miracle Oil helps keep the skin healthy and young. The product also promotes quicker wound healing and better sleep.
The products are not registered with the Food and Drug Administration.
The suspect and the confiscated items are now in the custody of CIDG XI for proper disposition. Meanwhile, a case for violating R.A 9711 (The Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009) is now being prepared against her.
