Two injured when a motorcycle hit a parked car on coastal road

TWO INDIVIDUALS were injured in a collision between a motorcycle and a parked car at the Davao City Coastal Road’s Talomo Bridge on Feb. 25, 2025.

According to the Davao City Police Office-Traffic Enforcement Unit (DCPO-TEU), the incident occurred at approximately 9:55 a.m.

Gwen, 36, was driving a Honda Click motorcycle, along with back rider Rissel, 26, toward Punta Dumalag intersection when she crashed into a parked Toyota Wigo. 

The Wigo was parked on the bridge as the driver, 59-year-old alias Rio, was checking the engine at the time

The impact caused Rio to be hit by the Wigo’s front bumper while Gwen and Rissel were thrown onto the road.

Central 911’s Ambulance-06 and the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (BDRRMC) from Barangay Talomo responded to the scene. They provided first aid and transported the three individuals to the Southern Philippines Medical Center for medical treatment.

Police investigators are considering filing reckless imprudence resulting in physical injury and damage to property against the two motorcycle-riding individuals.
