Truck driver flees after damaging center island, traffic light

THE DRIVER of the 10-wheeler dump truck fled after losing control of his vehicle and ramming through a traffic light sign in front of Petron Gas Station in Barangay Panacan, Bunawan at 9:48 pm on Tuesday, March 12.

Captain Hazel Tuazon, Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson, said they are verifying the driver’s identity of the truck with plate number NEV 7440.

According to the report, the truck was heading north when the rear truck blew out. As a result, the vehicle overturned and skidded more or less 50 meters from Petron Gas Station toward the center island, causing damage to the traffic light (traffic sign and accessories).
