BRIGADIER General Nicolas Torre III declined to elaborate on his next steps after the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters rejected his request to reassign 45 personnel, including 17 officers and 28 non-commissioned officers, to Camp Crame.
Regarding whether he would pursue the reassignment despite the rejection, Torre remained tight-lipped.
“I will address that at the appropriate time. It’s premature to comment as I am unaware if such an order will be issued,” the police regional director further said.
He said these are internal issues “that require no explanation unless those directly affected raise concerns.”
Torre acknowledged seeing the issue circulating on social media but declined to confirm or deny the reassignment’s validity.
“The authenticity of such documents will always be questioned,” he said. “These matters don’t warrant explanation to external entities unless those affected raise questions through proper PNP channels,” he further said.
When asked if any officers had expressed concerns, Torre responded, “Have those affected raised questions? If so, there are established PNP channels and systems for them to seek answers.”
Recently, the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters rejected the request by Police Regional Office XI (PRO XI) to reassign 45 personnel, including 17 officers and 28 non-commissioned officers to Camp Crame.
According to the leaked memo, they would have been assigned to the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (PHAU) in Camp Crame.
