THE POLICE Regional Office (PRO) XI and the Island Garden City of Samal Police Station, arrested a top regional suspect on June 2.
Police identified him as Allan Cabangas Gianga, 29 a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Anonang, Kaputian District.
Accordingly, Gianga was listed as the top five most wanted person (regional level) facing a charge of statutory rape and violation of Sec. 5 (B) of R.A. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
The joint Manhunt Charlie Operation was conducted based on a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Presiding Judge Maria Eloisa A. Maglana of RTC, 11th Judicial Region, Branch 4 (Family Court).
The warrant holds a P200,000 recommended bail for Sec 5(B) of R.A 7610 and no recommended bail for statutory rape.
“This arrest demonstrates the unwavering commitment of our police force to ensuring public safety,” said regional police director Brig. Gen. Aligre Martinez. “PRO XI remains resolute in its campaign against all forms of criminality.”
