THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) arrested a high-value drug personality (HVI) in a buy-bust operation conducted in Catalunan Pequeño on Tuesday, June 4, at approximately 11:50 p.m.
Meanwhile, more than half a million worth of shabu was seized during the operation.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, the spokesperson of DCPO, identified him only as alias Dhudz, 35, single, driver, and a resident of Bunawan District.
Tuazon said the suspect was identified as a city-level target and a top one high-value individual.
Alias Dhudz was apprehended after he allegedly sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover police officer in an operation conducted by the Baliok Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU).
A further search yielded six more large sachets of shabu with a total estimated value of ₱562,156. Also seized was a Suzuki Smash motorcycle.
Police believe this apprehension will significantly disrupt illegal drug activity in Barangay Catalunan Pequeño.
The suspect is detained at Baliok Police Station facing charges of violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
