THE 1ST Platoon of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) 2nd City Mobile Force Company/Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) conducted extensive mobile patrols on Monday, April 15, 2025.
DCPO spokesperson Captain Hazel Caballero said the deployment, which took place from 8 a.m. to noon, covered critical transportation hubs across the city, including the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal, Sta. Ana Wharf, Sasa Ferry Terminal, the Old Airport area, and the Davao International Airport.
The operation was led by Senior Master Sergeant Mark Anthony DC Balolong and overseen by Captain Edmund V Siarot, the platoon leader, under the instruction of Lieutenant Colonel Noel C. Asumen, the force commander.
The SWAT team’s presence at these key locations aimed to deter any potential criminal activity and provide a heightened sense of security for commuters and the public during the traditionally busy Holy Week period.
