SSS- Davao relocates for improved quality of service to clients

FORMERLY named Social Security System (SSS) Davao-Ilustre Branch, SSS Davao-San Pedro Branch has relocated to Oakwood Pines Acreage Building along San Pedro Street from its previous location in Gaisano Grand Ilustre.

During the office blessing, Atty. Voltaire P. Agas, officer in charge of the state-run pension fund, said with the physical layout of the new office, SSS-Davao can provide improved quality service to its clients.

Agas recognized that long queues and crowding are caused by the limited office size of SSS branches.

“I am pleased that the re-opening of this branch with bigger space and more member facilities will address these problems,” he said.

The OIC lauded the branch for continuing its role to ensure all clients, specifically employers, comply with their responsibilities, especially the contribution to their employees with their Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) program.

Maren Eeman W. Estrella, Davao-San Pedro Branch head, said they aim to address the needs of members and pensioners in terms of accessibility, convenience, and safety.

“As the branch hits double-digit percentage increases in collection and coverage over the past years, since inception in 2014, we commit to serve better our increasing number of clients,” Estrella said.

Since its relocation on Aug. 8, the branch recorded an increase in average daily walk-in clients, from 400 to 560. The office also performs an average of 1,800 transactions daily.

SSS Davao-San Pedro Branch caters to 7,100 employers and over 400,000 members and beneficiaries from 28 barangays and nearby areas.
