SSS-Davao records 36k OFWs transactions for six years

The Social Security System (SSS) Davao recorded about 36,901 transactions through the One-Stop Service Center for Overseas Filipino Workers (OSSCO) XI over the past six years.

In a statement during the OSSCO XI’s 7th Anniversary celebration on Aug. 20, Dennis Calo, SSS-Davao Mindanao South Division acting senior communication analyst, said the number is out of the OSSCO XI’s total transactions, consisting of 16 agencies.

“SSS is honored to be part of this celebration as it shows our commitment to provide the most convenient services to every Filipino who is presently working or planning to work abroad,” Calo said.

Calo added that the office provides an accessible kiosk to offer service to both OFWs and local members from Davao City and adjacent areas.

Rowenna Banzali, SSS Davao assistant branch head, being a part of the One-Stop Service Center for OFWs is an achievement for the as it provides a convenient place for their members to access various SSS Services with ease.

“We understand that there is a need to make our services more accessible to all, particularly to our OFWs’ who are mostly away from home,” Banzali said.

Banzali said members may avail the SSS services such as SSS Number Issuance, Inquiry and Verification, Updating of Personal Information, and Online Services Assistance.

The 7th year anniversary of the One-Stop Service Center for OFWs’ OSSCA XI was headed by the Department of Labor of Employment XI, located on the 5th floor, Gaisano Mall Davao.

“As the One-Stop Service Center for OFWs’ XI celebrates its 7th year of service, so does SSS Davao in continuing its commitment to serve and protect the welfare of all Filipino workers here and abroad through relevant and accessible social security services,” Calo added.

SSS services are available from Monday to Wednesday 10:00AM to 6:00PM.

On Aug. 8, SSS Davao-Ilustre Branch officially moved to its new location in Oakwood Pines Acreage Corp. Building along San Pedro Street (near LandBank).
