- RTWPB XI okays additional P29 daily minimum wage
THE REGIONAL Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) XI announced on Thursday a P29 increase in the daily minimum wage of private workers.
“After a thorough review and evaluation of the existing socio-economic conditions and consultations with various agencies and the general public, issues WAGE ORDER NO. RB XI-23,” RTWPB XI posted on its Facebook page.
Wage Order No. RB XI-23 mandates that all minimum wage earners in the private sector are entitled to receive an additional P29 daily.
The new daily minimum wage in the region for non-agriculture is P510 from the current P481 as mandated by RB XI-22.
Meanwhile, the new daily minimum wage is P505 from the current P476 for agriculture sector workers.
The new wage order will take effect on March 7.
“The wage increase prescribed herein shall apply to all minimum wage earners in the private sector within the region, regardless of their position, designation, or status and irrespective of the method by which their wages are paid,” the order read.
