HOMEGROWN superapp RideIT is set to launch on April 21, 2025, offering ride-hailing services tailored for Davao City and its tourism sector.
Marlon Jay Cabase, HaveIT Software Corporation CEO, said the app aims to solve transport challenges while boosting tourism.
Aside from booking motorcycle rides, users can explore tourist spots, book accommodations via StayIT, and soon access skilled services through features like FixIT.
Safety features include encrypted selfie verification, GPS tracking, and real-time monitoring by the Traffic Management Office. Riders must submit police clearances, drug test results, and other credentials.
The app connects passengers with screened independent riders, targeting over 3,000 registrants. While not part of the national motor taxi pilot program, RideIT complies with local ordinances, and a request has been submitted to include Davao in national testing.
The team is confident that the app will significantly improve daily commuting experiences, support the growth of the local tourism industry, and help create a safer and more efficient public transportation system across Davao City.
