RETIRED Police General Filmore Escobal has urged the public not to support or vote for those in the leftist party in the upcoming May 2025 National and Local Elections.
Escobal said countless soldiers sacrificed their lives in more than five decades of war to defeat the New People’s Army.
During this time, many young people and students were influenced by the destructive ideology, which led to their deaths, and innocent civilians became collateral victims.
Escobal stated that the CPP political officers in the House of Representatives seemingly take pleasure in the negative events currently happening in the country.
“Tinupad ng inyong kasundaluhan (AFP) kapulisan (PNP) at mga lokal na pamahalaan sa munisipyo at barangay (LGUs) na tuldokan ang panlilinlang, terorismo at karahasan ng NPA (Naging Pampolitikang Armado) ng CPP at kanyang prenteng Makabayan (aka Makamatayan) bloc partylist groups sa mga kanayunan o GIDAs (geographically isolated and depressed areas) subalit tila nalinlang na rin ang ating mga kataastasang opisyal at mambabatas ng pamahalaan para sila ay muling lumakas at ipagpatuloy ang kanilang pang politikal na layunin na maitatag ang pamahalaang kummunista,” Escobal said in a social media post.
“Sila (CPP) ngayon ang pumapalakpak sa nangyayaring gusot sa pinakamataas na institusyon ng ating pamahalaan,” he said.
“Tuparin din sana ng mga patriotikong puliko ang kanilang tungkulin sa bayan na protektahan ang interes ng taumbayan hindi ang kanilang pansariling interes at pagkamal ng yaman ng bayan,” he added.
For this reason, Escobal called on Filipinos to completely remove the mentioned individuals in Congress in the upcoming May 2025 election.
“Ibasura sila sa darating na Mayo 2025. Hindi rally ang sagot. Bumuto at huwag ibenta ang boto,” he added.
