THE military reported that the six former members of the New People’s Army who surrendered to the First Special Forces Battalion revealed six high-powered firearms in Pangantucan, Bukidnon Sunday.

In its report, former members of an NPA group guided the military units to where the guns were hidden.

On the surrender of the former rebels, Second Lieutenant Cristy Timtim, Civil-Military Operations officer of the battalion, said that they reached out to Mayor Miguel A Silva Jr of Pangantucan, Bukidnon and the latter facilitated their surrender.

With the help of the former rebels, the military unit recovered M14 Rifle, three M16 Rifles, AK 47 Rifle, one (1) RPG Launcher, M653 Carbine, ammunitions, magazine assembly, IED switches, binocular, and handheld radio on Sunday.
