PRO XI says no truth in plans to bomb KOJC Cathedral

POLICE Regional Office XI spokesperson Major Catherine Dela Rey debunked the claim of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ that the PNP would bomb their compound if Pastor Apollo Quiboloy did not surrender.

On Wednesday, Aug. 28. Police presence continued as the search for Pastor Apollo Quiboloy persisted despite the temporary protection order issued by RTC Branch 15 on Aug. 27.

The Supreme Court earlier clarified that the temporary protection order (TPO) issued by a Davao City court does not stop the arrest warrant enforcement on Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.

Earlier, Regional Trial Court Branch 15 ordered the Philippine National Police (PNP) to remove blockades around the KOJC compound and stop any actions that threaten the safety of its occupants.

However, the Supreme Court emphasized that this order doesn’t invalidate the existing arrest warrant against Quiboloy.

Responding to the developments, Police Regional Office XI director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said Tuesday afternoon that they will comply with the court’s order to remove the barricades but will continue their search for Pastor Quiboloy within the compound.

Meanwhile, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) plans to file a motion for particulars seeking further clarification on the matter.
