- PRO XI adopts security plan to secure religious sites, tourist destinations
THE POLICE Regional Office (PRO) XI will implement a stricter security plan to ensure a peaceful and safe Holy Week across the Davao Region, particularly for Catholic devotees visiting churches and pilgrimage sites.
PRO XI regional director Brig Gen Leon Victor Rosete said they activated a comprehensive security plan covering churches, religious sites, transport terminals, major roads, and tourist destinations.
Police personnel will be strategically deployed for foot and mobile patrols, traffic management, and prompt emergency response in line with the directive of PNP Director General Rommel Francisco Marbil.
Rosete emphasized the importance of proactive and visible policing during Holy Week and called for public cooperation. “We enjoin everyone, especially those participating in church activities, to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious individuals or activities to authorities,” he said.
He said the PRO XI will work closely with other peacekeeping and security forces, local government units, religious leaders, and force multipliers to help ensure public safety.
