JOINT operatives of the Task Force Davao and Davao City Police Office arrested a drug suspect at the checkpoint in Lasang, Bunawan, around 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 20.
Authorities identified the suspect as Usman Catuyo Abubacar, 41, a resident of Purok 12, Barangay Sirawan, Toril, on board a passenger bus heading toward the city.
Seized from his possession was a sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less 2.03 grams with an estimated street value of P 32,480.
The suspect and confiscated evidence were turned over to the custody of Bunawan Police Station for filing appropriate charges for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
