A 24-YEAR-OLD pedestrian was killed after he was run over by a prime mover truck along Quezon Boulevard around 3:46 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Davao City Police Office spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon identified the victim as Ruel Manulat, single, and a resident of Purok 2, Mini-Forest, Barangay 21-C.
The driver was identified as Jaymar Amado, 34, married, and a resident of Camansi, Toril.
Initial investigation revealed that the prime mover truck was traveling along Quezon Boulevard from Roxas Avenue toward R. Magsaysay Avenue. Meanwhile, the pedestrian crossed the road in front of Mark Pawnshop when the truck’s right rear tire ran him over.
He was declared dead by the emergency doctor at the Southern Philippines Medical Center.
The driver and vehicle involved were taken to the police station for further investigation and proper disposition.
