THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) ensures police visibility and has reminded the public about safety tips as the “ber” months begin.
DCPO spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon advised that people should ensure their doors are properly locked and, if leaving their premises, they should “inform their neighbors to keep watch over their house.”
“We are also holding meetings in every barangay, encouraging police from different stations to include safety tips for the ‘ber’ months to prevent theft,” Tuazon said.
“We must not give thieves a chance to steal the valuables we are protecting. We are working hard for our families, so we need to be vigilant to protect ourselves,” she added.
The DCPO spokesperson said”We urge everyone to stay alert, especially in public places. Be aware of your surroundings and what’s happening around you because, during the ‘ber’ months, theft incidents tend to increase.”
“Police stations are conducting meetings to remind people to stay vigilant and cooperate in every barangay.”
“Also, when in public places, do not be overconfident. Ensure your house or subdivision is securely locked before you leave,” she further said.
