MORE OR less 180 members of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (Toda) from Barangays Matina Pangi, Talomo, Matina Crossing, and Catalunan Grande participated in a dialogue with the Police Station 3-Talomo on May 2, 2025.

Station commander Major Genesis P.  Oriel dialogue revealed that the initiative was part of their ongoing efforts to ensure a peaceful, orderly, and secure electoral process.

The meeting was held at the Mabini Elementary School Gymnasium in Bangkal at approximately 1 p.m.

Oriel said the Toda leaders and members will serve as force multipliers for Police Station 3, acting as “eyes and ears” and “active reporters” regarding suspicious individuals and illegal activities in their respective areas.

In his message, Oriel emphasized the crucial need for cooperation from transport groups for a peaceful community.

“Our mission extends beyond mere law enforcement to include active community engagement. A vigilant and informed citizenry is our strongest ally,” Oriel stated.

The initiative is a component of the Davao City Police Office’s broader campaign to engage various sectors of society to strengthen community partnerships, aligning with the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) mission to serve and protect, particularly during critical democratic exercises such as the NLE.
