Almost half a million pesos worth of shabu was seized by the police from a regional-level target in a buy-bust operation conducted at Holy Cross Alley, Purok 14, Barangay Mintal, Tugbok District, around 10:55 p.m. on Monday, August 12.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson for the Davao City Police Office, identified the suspect as Alias Osting, 20 and a resident of Santo Niño, Tugbok District.
Tuazon said Alias Osting is considered a top 5 regional-level target.
The operation, conducted by Tugbok Police Station (PS 9) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), resulted in the seizure of three jumbo-sized packs and one large sachet of shabu with an estimated street value of P475,050.
The suspect is now in the custody of Tugbok Police Station for the filing of an appropriate case for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
