AUTHORITIES seized nearly P400,000 worth of suspected shabu from a high-value target in a buy-bust operation at 6:05 p.m. along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Sirawan, Toril District, on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson for the Davao City Police Office, said they arrested a 38-year-old suspect identified only as Johnmar, a resident of Phase 2, Batulosa, Barangay Bangkas Heights, Toril.
The buy-bust operation was a joint effort by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency XI Regional Special Enforcement Team led by Anthony Maningo, the Tugbok Police Station (PS 9) led by Major Vincent Ignacio Follante, and the NBI-South Eastern Mindanao Office, led by SRA Victoriano Cano.
Police also confiscated 11 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P360,400, the P10,000 buy-bust money, a cellular phone, and another sachet of suspected shabu worth P10,000.
