THE DAVAO City Police will continue to conduct mobile and beat patrols to deter criminal activity after a reported riot in Purok 5, Barangay Riverside, Davao-Bukidnon Highway, Calinan, near Pryce Gas at 11:40 p.m. on May 15.
However, officers found no rioters in the area upon arrival. Bystanders reported that the individuals involved fled upon seeing the police patrol car.
Initial reports said the incident might have been alcohol-related due to a fiesta celebration in the barangay.
DCPO spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon said no injuries or property damage were reported.
Tuazon said they are trying to identify the perpetrators who will face a case of alarm and scandal. Meanwhile, police are also investigating the riot in Bankerohan over the weekend.
