AN ALLEGED burglar was killed following an encounter with elements of the Baguio police in Purok 2-A, Barangay Malagos, on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
Police have yet to identify the alleged perpetrator.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson, said personnel of the Baguio Police Station responded to a call from Central 911 on an ongoing burglary at Purok 2-A, around 3:50 am.
The police spotted the man who was reportedly carrying a TV. They then ordered him to put it down and surrender.
However, the man suddenly drew his gun and shot at the police several times, prompting them to return fire. The suspect was fatally hit on his chest and doctors of the Isaac T Robillo Hospital at Barangay Calinan, Calinan District, could not revive him.
