A MAN who introduced himself as a member of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) was arrested by law enforcers who recovered a substantial cache of firearms during the search operation.
The Davao City Police Office (DCPO), Special Action Force, and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group served the search warrant issued by Judge Retrina Fuentes of RTC Branch 11.
The authorities conducted a raid at the residence of McArthur Sarabillo Veloso, 42, in Purok 4, Barangay Carmen.
The search yielded a large arsenal, including, an M308 Sniper Rifle, an M16 Rifle, a .45 Caliber Pistol, 2x Colt .45 Caliber Pistols, a Homemade Shotgun, Over 200 rounds of live ammunition, Magazines, and other related items.
The DCPO refuted the claim of the suspect that he was an MNLF member. According to the police, quoting OPAPRU’s declaration that there are no MNLF communities in the Davao Region.
