TOP POLICE officials personally inspected major cemeteries and transport terminals in Davao Region on Saturday, Oct. 31, to oversee security deployments for All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day observances.

PBGEN Benigno L. Guzman, regional director of Police Regional Office XI, and PCOL Peter B. Madria, Davao City Police Office (DCPO) chief, led on-site security inspections under “Oplan Ligtas Undas 2026.”

The joint inspection covered high-density locations, including the Wireless Public Cemetery, Forest Lake Memorial Park in Ma-a, Davao Memorial Park, Manila Memorial Park, the Roman Catholic Public Cemetery, and the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT).

The officers said the operation aimed to verify the operational readiness of deployed personnel, evaluate ongoing security protocols, and maintain strong police visibility amid the heavy influx of visitors, commuters, and motorists.

Guzman emphasized that PRO XI remains focused on sustaining peace and order through strategic police presence and tight inter-agency coordination across all public convergence areas throughout the holiday.

Meanwhile, the DCPO reminded the public to stay alert, adhere to cemetery rules, and immediately report any safety concerns or suspicious activities to police officers stationed at assistance hubs.
