AUTHORITIES are awaiting autopsy results to confirm the cause of death for live-in partners Jennifer Chavez and Jeff Predas.
The couple’s bodies were discovered in a condominium in Bajada with stab wounds.
Speaking in yesterday’s AFP-PNP press briefing held at The Royal Mandaya Hotel, Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), said the autopsy report will help in their investigation to find the circumstances behind their killing.
Accordingly, two-bladed weapons recovered from the crime scene are still subject to verification.
She said two individuals have been identified as persons of interest (POI) and have provided statements to the Bajada Police Station. One of them reportedly booked the condo unit for Chavez, who was scheduled to attend a concert last Sunday.
Tuazon emphasized the importance of witness statements and information from the victims’ families to expedite the investigation.
