Police arrest six drug suspects, including two high-value targets

POLICE arrested six individuals involved in illegal drug activities during three separate buy-bust operations on Monday evening, June 24.

Captain Hazel Tuazon, the spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office, said two of the suspects, identified as Jojo and Ronron, were arrested at a waiting shed in Barangay Cabantian at 11:58 p.m. 

Both are considered high-value targets. Police seized an estimated P146,500 worth of shabu during the operation.

Another two suspects, including a city-level target known as Jay, were apprehended at the Kings Field Motel in Barangay 10-A around 10:13 p.m. 

Authorities confiscated 19 sachets of shabu weighing 30 grams and valued at P204,000.

Earlier that evening, at around 8:10 p.m., police arrested another city-level target, Sally, along with her companion, Jerry, at the Princess Inn in Agdao. The operation yielded shabu worth P72,896.

All suspects face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The confiscated drugs have been submitted for forensic examination, while the suspects are undergoing booking procedures at their respective police stations.
