THE PARENTS Mobilization Action Group (PMAG) will be giving benefits to the 35 children of the Catwalk for a Cause: A Walk for Hope and Inspiration fashion show.

During the Kapehan sa Dabaw at SM Ecoland, President of PMAG, Febe Libai Matthews, said that the 35 beneficiaries out of the 300 children who are presenting as models for the upcoming fashion show will be given therapies and to advocate their special talents to the public.

According to Febe Libai Matthews, this is their first time presenting this event, selecting among the less fortunate children who have the talent. The children will be given speech, occupational, and behavior therapies using the S.M.A.R.T. (Sport, Music, Art, Reading, Theatre) approach to teaching.

The event will also help the children’s parents, who are members of PMAG, who do not have jobs or are unable to afford therapies.

“Through the help of this Catwalk for a Cause, it will help a lot for those children na less fortunate na yung mga parents walang trabaho and it will help them hopefully,” she said.

The PMAG collaborated with Mystique Signature and Bright Horizon for the “Catwalk for a Cause: A Walk for Hope and Inspiration” fashion show this Mar 7 at the Philippine Women’s College of Davao to empower indigenous women and support children with disabilities.

The fashion show will help showcase the children’s special talents through singing and dancing with the support of their parents and help boost their confidence in meeting people. The event will also help raise awareness for the children in the public in order for them to be accepted and accommodated.

Matthews also added that the more tickets sold at the event, the more they can help the beneficiaries.

Yung five hundred pesos ninyo is hindi na po yun masayang kasi it will go to those children. Not only to those children but also to the IP community,” she said.

The event will be on Mar 7 and will start from 4 pm to 9 pm at PWC and the general admission for the tickets is 500 pesos.
