PHLPOST launches Drive-Thru Post Office

THE PHILIPPINE Postal Corporation (PHLPOST) Eastern Mindanao Area 7 launched the Drive-Thru Post Office on October 11 at the Davao City Central Post Office to enhance the convenience and accessibility of postal transactions.

PHLPOST EMA 7 acting area director Rosemarie N. Tubal delivered her welcome remarks during the launching of the Drive-Thru Post Office being the first in the Philippines and will be a big help for senior citizens, PWDs, pregnant women, and parents with children who are doing counter transactions.

“We have to level up our relationship with our clients by making our clients feel that we are intentional about improving our service,” Tubal said.

With the new Drive-Thru setup, postal clients can briefly park and exit their vehicles for transactions.

Clients can now also send both their domestic and international registered and express mail service to meet efficient postal needs.

The setup is also expected to help alleviate traffic in surrounding areas with transactions limited to five minutes ensuring smooth flow in accommodating clients and patrons.

Postmaster General and CEO Luis D. Carlos highlighted the importance of the Drive-Thru Post Office as a way to bring back customers for postal services.

He also discussed the 4 Rs of the Universal Postal Union on its reliability of the post, the reach to customers, relevance in the digital age, and resiliency.
