PDEA, police dismantle Davao Oro drug den, seize over P100-K in shabu

A JOINT operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP), and the Regional Maritime Unit dismantled a drug den and resulted in the seizure of over P100,000 worth of shabu in Purok 9-A, Barangay Poblacion on Friday evening, June 22.

Nephi Noli Dimaandal, PDEA XI spokesperson, said the operation’s target, 44-year-old alias Marl, was arrested after selling a gram of suspected shabu worth P11,000 to an undercover agent.

Also arrested were a drug den employee, alias John, and a visitor, alias Robert.

Authorities seized a total of 14 grams of suspected shabu in various packaging, estimated to be worth P95,200.

The suspects are now facing charges of violating Republic Act 9165( Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Dimaandal said the successful operation underscores the continued efforts of law enforcement agencies in combating the illegal drug trade in the region.
