THE OWNER of a sling bag left at a restaurant in J.P. Laurel Avenue has recovered the money worth P97,000.
According to Bajada Police Station commander Major Marvin Hugos, the complainant met with the individuals who found the bag on Monday morning, June, at 10:30 a.m.
The owner confirmed receiving P97,000 and opted not to pursue charges.
Hugos clarified that there was a misunderstanding in the initial report, which alleged that the individuals who found the bag stole the money. Instead, they deposited it in the bank before subsequently returning it.
