THE FIRE in the warehouse owned by Davao Wanshida Inc. along Mudiang Road in Barangay Ilang on Tuesday afternoon caused P8.4 million in property damage.
Previously, the Davao City Fire District confirmed that the incident claimed the lives of two people.
Sr. Inspector Frances Mae Sendrijas, spokesperson of the Davao City Fire District, said the fire, which reached the second alarm, started around 3:10 p.m. Firefighters battled the blaze for over an hour before bringing it under control at 4:40 p.m.
During the fire, firefighters discovered the bodies of two workers: Gian Subla, 19, and Reyeel Dion Mansing, 20.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
