P758-K worth of shabu seized in Talomo police raid

POLICE seized over P700,000 worth of shabu from a 33-year-old man during a search warrant operation in Purok 10-A, Moryo-Moryo Km. 8.5, Matina Pangi, Davao City, on Thursday afternoon.

The suspect, identified only as Arnel by Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon, was arrested around 2:03 p.m. on July 25.

Talomo Police Station (PS3) operatives, under the leadership of Lt. Allan Cajita and the supervision of Acting Station Commander Major Genesis Oriel, executed the search warrant in collaboration with the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 11.

The warrant, issued by the 11th Judicial Region, RTC Branch 13, authorized the search for violations of Section 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

During the search, eight sachets of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P758,380, were seized. 

The operation was conducted in the presence of the suspect and witnesses, with proper documentation and adherence to constitutional rights.

The suspect was taken into custody at the Talomo Police Station and will face appropriate charges.
