P3.6-M drug haul

  • Davao Region police arrest 106 suspects in week-long drug busts

 

THE POLICE Regional Office XI reported seizing P3.6 million worth of shabu and marijuana, as well as arresting 106 suspects in its ongoing campaign to rid communities of illegal drugs. 

Brig Gen Leon Victor Rosete, PRO XI regional director, said the different police stations conducted 82 anti-drug operations from February 17 to 23, 2025.

As a result, operatives confiscated 465.4133 grams of shabu, valued at P3,164,810.44, and 4,122.90 grams of marijuana, with a standard drug price of P494,748. 

Additionally, authorities seized eight marijuana plants valued at P1,600.

The operations led to the arrest of 18 high-value individuals, including those on the region’s top ten drug priority target list, and 88 street-level individuals.

“These notable accomplishments demonstrate PRO XI’s unwavering commitment to combating the proliferation of illegal drugs and apprehending those involved in the drug trade,” said PRO XI spokesperson Maj. Catherine dela Rey.

The regional police office emphasized the crucial role of collaboration with other law enforcement agencies and the active participation of the community in achieving these results.

Rosete reiterated the PRO XI’s dedication to creating a safe and drug-free Davao Region, aligning with the directives of PNP Director General Rommel Francisco Marbil.
