The city council approved two resolutions added to the investment programs of the city as specified in the 2020 Annual Investment Program (AIP) and the Local Development Investment Program (LDIP) with a combined budget of P1.256 billion.
On Wednesday , Councilor Danilo Dayanghirang, committee chair on finance, ways and means, and appropriation, sponsored the resolutions under suspended rules during the regular session that eventually led to their approval.
The first of the resolutions was the one on amendments, updates and addendum to LDIP for calendar year 2020-2022 of the City Government in the total amount of P642.006 million.
Dayanghirang said the City Development Council (CDC), in its resolution, stated that the current LDIP covering 2020-2022 has been favorably endorsed by the body to the city council last October 15, 2019.
“CDC (now) endorsed the proposed lists of project programs and activities under the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) emerging response program of the city government for funding from various sources,” he said.
The P642 million fund has been allocated for both of these non-infrastructure and infrastructure projects:
— for general public services, a total of P476. 026 million has been allocated;
— for social services, P37.98 million has been allocated;
— for economic development, a total of P3.500 million has been allocated.
The subtotal for non-infrastructure projects was P517.506 million, while of the remaining amount, it has been allocated for infrastructure projects, in which a total of P122 million has been allotted for buildings, and the remaining P2.500 will be for other infrastructure projects.
Dayanghirang also sponsored a resolution approving or adopting the project proposals as addendum or supplemental to the 2020 AIP of the city government in total amount of P614.026 million.
The addendum of AIP covered the budget for general public services at P476.026 million, social development got P10 million and economic development got P3.5 million.
Of the remaining budget, P122 went to buildings and P4.500 million for other infrastructure projects.
