LAW ENFORCERS seized about 500 reams of smuggled cigarettes a the police and military Border Control Point in Sirawan, Toril District Monday afternoon.
The report said personnel of Task Force Davao, Davao City Police Office and Bureau of Customs XI collared Lyndon Lumapas, 44 , married, and a resident of Sinaliwan, Matanao, Davao del Sur, while he was on board a vehicle entering the city.
The report estimated the value of the contraband at P250,000.
Capt. John Louie Dema-ala, the spokesperson of Task Force Davao, said the arrest came after the seizure of P70,000 in smuggled cigarettes at the Lacson Checkpoint in the morning of same day.
The suspect and the evidence were turned over to the BOC XI for disposition.
