POLICE confiscated over P700,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested a 35-year-old man in a buy-bust operation conducted in Bucana, Barangay 76-A, early Saturday morning.
Alias Jay-ar, a resident of Mintal, was apprehended around 1:15 a.m. along Tulip Drive Street after allegedly selling a sachet of shabu worth P56,420 to an undercover police officer.
According to Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon, a subsequent search of the suspect yielded three more sachets of shabu, totaling P727,025 in estimated street value.
Police also confiscated a .45 caliber pistol, eight rounds of live ammunition, and a magazine from the suspect’s possession.
Jay-ar is currently detained at the Ecoland Police Station, facing a charge of violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms).
