- DCPO’s Drug Enforcement Unit personnel test negative for illegal substance
MORE THAN 300 members of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) under the Davao City Police Office, including personnel from various police stations and special units, were cleared following a random test on Oct. 31.
Col. Hansel Marantan, acting city director, said the unannounced drug test was necessary to uphold the integrity and professionalism of its personnel. The screening took place around 1:30 p.m. at the Sandigan Hall, DCPO main building.
The Davao City Forensic Unit (DCFU), led by Lt. Col. Florepes Pallado, facilitated the drug test on 306 police officers.
Marantan said the results underscored the DCPO’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and maintaining public trust in its operations.
“We are committed to ensuring that all members of the DEU perform their duties with excellence and maintain the highest ethical standards, both on and off duty. This initiative is part of our continuous effort to promote a clean and effective police force,” Marantan added.
