THE NATIONAL Bureau of Investigation (NBI) XI clarified that they continue to hunt down Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and four accused in the child abuse and qualified trafficking charges leveled against them.
“We are actively searching for their whereabouts and have been visiting areas where we initially intended to apprehend them,” stated Lawyer Arcelito Albao, NBI XI director.
Albao also mentioned that the NBI had planned to arrest Paulene Canada, a co-accused of Quiboloy, but this was delayed due to the birth certificate investigation.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson for the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), affirmed their commitment to cooperate with the manhunt, stating, “We are closely monitoring the situation and will follow orders regarding Pastor Quiboloy’s arrest.”
Recently, the newly designated acting director (DCPO) chief Col Hansen Marantan vowed to get them soon.
Speaking to reporters after a flag-raising ceremony, Col. Hansen Marantan said, “My superiors have already made many statements on this matter, and we will abide by those.”
He did not elaborate further on the specifics of the ongoing operation.
In a recent press briefing at Camp Crame following the arrest of Paulene Canada on July 11 at Emily Homes Subdivision, the co-accused of Pastor Quiboloy in the child trafficking case, Brig Gen Nicolas, the Police Regional Office XI director, said they are actively pursuing leads and working tirelessly to apprehend the remaining individuals in hiding.
He expressed confidence that the remaining wanted individuals would be apprehended soon, stating, “It won’t be long now.”
