A MOTORCYCLE driver died on the spot when he crashed into a truck along R. Castillo Street around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17.
The man was identified as Tristan R. Racho, a resident of Barangay Indangan, Buhangin District. Meanwhile, the driver of the prime mover truck was identified as Alexander Remoneros Jr., 50, of Purok Durian, Magugpo West, Tagum City.
According to the initial investigation, Racho was riding along the inner lane coming from Mintrade heading toward Holy Cross Drive when he suddenly swerved toward the outer lane. However, he smashed into the left rear portion of the truck.
He crashed into the road and slid a few meters away, sustaining grave injuries that killed him on the spot. The truck driver was detained and faces a case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
